Kaiser Permanente of Colorado is part of Kaiser Permanente, the largest non-profit health plan in the United States. It serves more than eight million members in nine states and the District of Columbia.

Kaiser Permanente of Colorado considers itself an “integrated health delivery system,” and as such coordinates all of a member’s care, from preventive care (such as immunizations and screenings) to hospital and medical scare to pharmacy services.

Kaiser Permanente of Colorado’s major health insurance plan is an HMO. Typically, all care is provided by Kaiser doctors and hospitals. Services are covered if the plan determines medical necessity exists. No claim forms or deductible are necessary; you make a co-payment, if necessary, at the time of your visit. Most plans offer vision coverage as well as a “hardware allowance” eyeglass lenses, frames and/or contact lenses.

Also available is a high-deductible plan that is designed to be used with or without a health savings account (HSA). And, some of the Kaiser Permanente companies also offer Medicare supplement insurance, which is designed for individuals who want supplemental coverage to fill gaps in their Medicare coverage.
